About The Eighth

The Eighth is an independent, nonpartisan civic information platform for residents of Virginia's 8th congressional district - Arlington, Alexandria, Falls Church, and parts of Fairfax County.

What we do

We aggregate local government meetings, public events, official updates, and resident-facing resources into one calm, easy-to-scan feed. Our goal is to make it easier to participate in local civic life without having to follow a dozen websites and mailing lists.

What we are not

We are not a government agency, a political campaign, a PAC, or a candidate organization. We do not endorse candidates or accept political sponsorships. See our Nonpartisan Statement.
