Resident submissions

When you submit a concern, event, or resource you confirm that:

• The information you provide is accurate to the best of your knowledge.
• You have the right to share any content or links you submit.
• You grant The Eighth a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to review, edit for clarity, publish, and archive the submission as part of the platform.
• You will not submit harassing, defamatory, unlawful, or misleading content, or content that targets individuals based on protected characteristics.

We review submissions before they appear and may decline or remove anything that conflicts with these terms or our editorial standards.

Sponsorships

Sponsored placements are governed by our Sponsorship Policy. Sponsors are responsible for the accuracy and legality of their own messaging.

Acceptable use

• Don't attempt to disrupt, probe, or overload the platform.
• Don't scrape resident submissions or analytics data.
• Don't use The Eighth to send unsolicited commercial or political messages.

Intellectual property

Editorial content, design, and code are © The Eighth unless otherwise noted. Government source material is reproduced under fair use and remains the property of the originating agency.

Limitation of liability
